Competitive athletes
Youth and young adults chasing the next level. Speed, power and the habits that hold up under pressure, with age-appropriate loading for long-term development.
Strength and conditioning built on the same foundations that carried Davidson “Boka” de Souza to two Olympic Games. In person in Calgary, or remote wherever you train.
Youth and young adults chasing the next level. Speed, power and the habits that hold up under pressure, with age-appropriate loading for long-term development.
You’ve been there before and want your edge back. Structured progression and smart load management, including return-to-sport after injury.
No race on the calendar, just the drive to train like it matters. Elite-level conditioning, scaled to where you are today.
A framework refined over fifteen years of elite competition. Every program at DS Elite is built from these five foundations, in every session.
Flexibility, joint stability and range of motion to prevent injury and move efficiently. Dynamic warm-ups and corrective work every session.
Progressive overload and Olympic-based lifting patterns, with an emphasis on power-to-weight ratio and core stability.
Jumps, med-ball throws, Olympic lifts and neural priming to build vertical and horizontal force and reactive strength.
Agility ladders, cone work, balance and sport-specific patterns, progressed in complexity and speed.
Learning to perform under pressure, embrace discomfort and stay locked in through adversity. This pillar trains decision-making in chaotic, high-stakes moments: how to keep your head clear and execute when it counts.
Davidson learned this twice: making the Olympics a year after picking up bobsleigh, then returning to the start line after a crash that fractured his femur. The mind is trainable, and it’s trained here.
“The body breaks before the mind does. But the mind decides when the body gets up.”
Davidson “Boka” de Souza
Born in São Paulo. Forged on the track. Tempered on the ice.
Davidson started in javelin, shot put and discus, ranking top five nationally in Brazil from ages 15 to 20. He made Brazil’s bobsleigh team within a year of taking up the sport, earned his pro card in natural bodybuilding, and went on to win World Cup bronze with Team Canada in Whistler.
In December 2024 a training crash fractured his femur. Fourteen months later he was back on Olympic ice for Brazil, part of the four-man crew that set the country’s best-ever Olympic bobsleigh result. He’s been coaching athletes from youth to professional for a decade.
